Venom: The Last Dance
DNEG
Role: Lead Creature Modeller / Creature Designer
This was definitely a career milestone for me. I had the pleasure of working on the final model for one of the main creatures in Venom: The Last Dance, the Xenophage. Throughout the production I had to work on various aspects of the character, such as the positioning and mechanincs of limbs and tails, create rig tests for the tail, concepting and developing of general silhouette skin patterns, teeth, fingernails, eyes and quills as well as modelling and sculpting. I was also in charge of the uvmapping and provided the texture team with a few additional maps for the points of contact of the quills, displacement and mesh maps.
This creature was possibly the most complex one I’ve ever worked on, I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity I had at DNEG to work on this incredible asset.
